On recommendation of a trusted friend I've switched from Rythmbox to Banshee.
Rythmbox was not stable for me. If I selected multiple podcasts to download then the program would often crash or take minutes to redraw.
I've yet to import my entire music collection into Banshee but I've been able to subscribe to my podcasts and download those that I haven't listened to yet all without a client crash.
I am having a problem with the Last-FM plugin. While the system is accepting my account name and password I'm not seeing any updates to the LastFM website. (Found the mistake, "TOOLS/LASTFM/ENABLE SONG REPORTING" disabled by default, DOH)
